EducationbackgroundIn1995,IenteredtheNanjingUniversityofScienceTechnology(NUST)--widelyconsideredoneoftheChinarsquo;sbestengineeringschools.Duringthefollowingundergraduatestudy,myacademicrecordskeptdistinguishedamongthewholedepartment.IwasgrantedFirstClassPrizeeverysemester,In1999,Igottheprivilegetoenterthegraduateprogram
waivedoftheadmissiontest.
Attheperiodofmygraduatestudy,myoverallGPA(3.77/4.0)rankedtop5%inthe
department.Inthesecondsemester,Ibecameteacherassistantthatisgiventotalentedandmaturedstudentsonly.Thisyear,IwontheAcerScholarshipastheoneandonlycandidateinmydepartment,whichistheultimateaccoladefordistinguishedstudentsendowedbymy
university.Presently,IampreparingmygraduationthesisandtryingforthehonorofExcellentGraduationThesis.
ResearchexperienceandacademicactivityWhenasophomore,IjoinedtheAssociationofAIEnthusiast
andbegantonarrowdownmyinterestformyfutureresearch.
WiththetoolofOpenGLandMatlab,Idesignedasimulationprogramfortransportationschedulingsystem.ItisnowwidelyusedbydifferentresearchgroupsinNUST.I
assumedandfulfilledasewageanalysisdisposeprojectforNanjingsewagetreatmentplant.Thiswasmyfirstpracticetoconvertalaboratoryideatoacommercialproduct.Inretrospect,Ifindmyselfstandingonasolidbasisinboththeoryandexperience,whichhaspreparedmeforthePh.D.program.Myfutureresearchinterestsinclude:NetworkSchedulingProblem,HeuristicAlgorithmresearch(especiallyinGAandNeuralnetwork),Supplychainnetworkresearch,HybridsystemperformanceanalysiswithPetrinetsandData
