AtthedirectionofthePresident,IhaveworkedcloselywithleadershipacrossgovernmentAgenciestoprioritizeworkforcedevelopmentandprovenon-the-jobtrainingprogramslikeapprenticeshipssothatyoungwomen–andmen–havemoreopportunitiestoearnwhiletheylearn,providefortheirfamilies,andmastertheskillsthatdriveprogressinthe21stcentury.

Acrosstheworld,therearestilllawsthatstopwomenfromfullyparticipatingintheirnation’seconomy.
Insomecountries,womenarenotallowedtoownproperty,travelfreely,orworkoutsideofthehomewithouttheconsentoftheirhusbands.
CountriesliketheUnitedStatesandJapancannotbecomplacent.Wemustcontinuetochampionreformsinourowncountrieswhilealsoempoweringwomeninrestrictedeconomies.
