TheThreePagodasofChongshengtemple,14kilometersawayfromXiaguan,arelocated1.5kilometersnorthofDali,underyinglepeakofCangshanMountain,withCangshanMountainonitsbackandErhaiLakeonitsface.Thethreepagodasarecomposedofthreepagodas,onelarge,twosmall,andinastateoftripod.Fromadistance,theyaremagnificentandmagnificent,andareoneofthescenicspotsofCang'er.
ThebaseoftheThreePagodasofChongshengtempleissquare.Therearestonerailingsallaround.Stonelionsarecarvedonthefourcornercapitalsoftherailings.Thereisastonewallinthemiddleoftheeasternside.Therearefourbigcharacters"Yongzhenmountainsandrivers"writtenonit,eachofwhichis1.7meters.Thestrokesarevigorousandmagnificent.Lookingupfromthebottomofthetower,youcanseethetowerstandingintheclouds,thecloudsmovingandthetowerstanding,whichseemstobetoppling.ThemaintowerofthethreepagodasiscalledQianxunpagoda.Itisasquare16storytowerwithdenseeaves.Thebottomis9.9meterswideandtheheightis69.13meters.ThetopofthetowerhasacoppercoveredbowlandaTashaonit.ItisatypicalbuildingoftheTangDynastywiththebigandsmallwildgoosepagodasinXi'an.
Accordingtolegend,theThreePagodasofChongshengtemplewerebuiltduringtheBaoheperiodofNanzhao.Inrecentyears,morethan600importantculturalrelicsofNanzhaoanddalizhongperiodshavebeenfoundonthetopofthepagodas.Thesouthtowerandthenorthtowerarelocatedbehindthemaintower.Thedistancebetweenthetwotowersis97.5meters,and70metersawayfromthemaintower.ThetwotowersaremadeofhollowbrickswitheightDendrobiumshapedeaves,withatotalof10levelsandaheightof43meters.
ThelayoutoftheThreePagodasofChongshengtempleisneatandwellpreserved,andtheappearanceisinharmonywitheachother.Thebigpagodaleadsthetwosmallpagodastohighlighttheirmainposition,andatthesametimesetsofftheexquisiteeleganceofthesmallpagoda;thesmallpagodafollowsthebigpagodatosetoffthetallandmajesticofthebigpagoda.
