YuGardenisafamousclassicalgardeninthesouthoftheYangtzeRiver.YuGardenwasbuiltintheJiajingperiodofMingDynasty.ItwasbuiltbyPanYunduan,aclothgovernorinSichuanintheMingDynasty.Ithasahistoryofmorethan400years.WhentheShanghaiknivesAssociationuprisingwasheldin1853,theYuGardenspringhallwasusedastheNorthcommandoftherebelarmy.Itdisplayedtheweaponsoftheyear'sknives,coinsthathadbeenmadebyitself,andtheculturalrelicsissued.Aftertheliberation,thegovernmentcarriedoutalarge-scalerenovationofYuGarden,andofficiallyopenedtothepublicin1961.
TheJingguanhall,alsoknownas"Qingxuehall",isthemainhalloftheinnergarden.Itiscarvedandpaintedwithbeams.Thehallis5roomswideand3roomsdeep.Therearetwostonelionsinfrontofthehall,andtwogildedplaquesof"Jingguan"and"lingmarshi"inthehall.Thenameof"JingGuan"referstotheoldsaying"JingGuaneverythingiscontented"and"movingGuanShui,JingGuanShan".Ontheoppositesideofthehall,therearemanypeaks,suchasthreeofficialsofferingtheirbirthday,whitedeerwatchingthemoon,batsflying,andninelionsdribbling.Itissaidthatwhenyouwatchitquietly,youcandistinguishmorethan100animalimages.Therearemanyhundredyearoldtreesbetweenthestonepeaks.ThereisasmallcourtyardintheEast,withapoolofwater,windingcorridorsonbothsides,shadytreesblockingthesun,tallandstraightbamboo,anddeepenvironment.
GuantaotowerislocatedinthesouthwestofJingguanhall,alsoknownas"xiaolingtai".Itisathreestorywoodenstructurewithaheightofmorethan10Zhang.ItwasthehighestbuildingintheeastofthecityintheQingDynasty.Onceuponatime,oneofthe"EightSightsofShanghaicity"was"autumnwavesinHuangpu".
HuanyunbuildingandYanqingbuildingfacetheJingguanhall.TheyareconnectedfromeasttoWestintheformofaseriesofbuildings,andcanleadtoGuantaobuildingandchuantinghall.Theplaque"Huanyun"inHuanyunbuildingisinscribedbyYaoWen,afamousgentryinShanghaiinthelateQingDynasty.AlsoYunLouwasoriginallytheShanghaimoneyindustrypublichousingindustry,YuGardenandinnergardenwererepeatedlydestroyedbywar,butthisbuildingwasnotrobbed.
ThepavilionstandsontherockeryintheeastofGuantaotower.Itisadouble-layerpavilionwithstonetablesandbenchesatthebottom.Thesurroundingtreesaregreen.Insidethepavilion,aplaquewasinscribedwiththenameof"LingMuPIFang".
CanbeseeninJingguanHallEast,smallsquarehall,delicatequiet,especiallycoolsummer.Infrontofthehall,thereisabrickcarving"thepaintingofGuoZiyi'sbirthday",nexttowhichisaclaydragonwall.Inthenorth,thereisthePhoenixPavilionof"Dongtianfudi"andinthesouth,thereis"bieyoutian".Onthewall,therearestonetabletssuchas"recordsofrebuildingtheinnergarden",recordingthehistoryoftheinnergarden.
