Tiananmentoweriscomposedoftwoparts:theplatformandthetower.Thereisawhitemarblexumizuowithatotalheightof34.7meters.Thereare60vermilioncolumnsonthetower,andthegroundispavedwithgoldbricks,whichisasflatasastone.Onthetallandcolorfulwallplatform,therearetwodoubleeavesbuildings,yellowglazedtiles,nineEast-Westrooms,fivenorth-southrooms,whichsymbolizetheimperialpower___"Therespectoftheworld".ThenorthandsouthsidesofTiananmentowerarebothrhombiclatticedoors;thetraditionalGoldenDragonpaintingandauspiciouspatternsarecarvedontheceiling,doorarchandbeam;the"DoubleDragonSeal"coloredbrocadewithgold,andtheceilingcaissonwithtuanlongpatternmakethewholehallsolemn,majesticandresplendent.Undertheplatformofthecity,therearefivegateswiththelargestgateinthemiddle,whichislocatedonthecentralaxisoftheimperialcityofBeijing.Inthepast,onlytheemperorcouldgetinandoutfromthisgate.
