IhaveknownMr.Rensince1991,whenhewasadmittedasaMasterofEngineeringcandidateintotheInstitute.Ashisresearchadviser,Idirectedhisresearchandfoundhimapromisingyouthradiatingwithintelligenceandcreativity.Duringhisfirstyear,hegotaverygoodrecordinmajorcourses.HeparticularlyenjoyedchallengingareasofstudiessuchasArtificialIntelligenceandNeuralNetwork.
Duringthefollowingtwoyears,Mr.Renworkedonacommunicationprojectforhisdegreethesis"theRadioShuntingSystemonRailroad".Tomaketheproductmeettheactualneeds,hefaceddownmanypracticalproblems,suchashighreliabilityandvolumeandweightoftheproduct.Workinghardandindependently,hecrackedtheproblemsonebyone,andcameupwithathesisthatwascharacterizedbyacademicexcellence.
