HuangguoshuwaterfallisthefirstwaterfallinChinaandoneofthemostfamouswaterfallsintheworld.InNovember1982,HuangguoshuwaterfallwasapprovedbytheStateCouncilofthepeople'sRepublicofChinaasanationalkeyscenicspot.Huangguoshuwaterfallis137kilometersawayfromGuiyangCity,theprovincialcapital.ItislocatedonBaishuiRiver,atributaryofDabangRiver,whichbordersZhenningCountyandGuanlingCountyinwesternGuizhouProvince.IttakesaboutanhourandahalftogettoHuangguoshubybusfromGuiyang.
Huangguoshuwaterfallhasarrived.Yousee,thisisthemostfamouswaterfallinChina.Huangguoshuwaterfallis68metershigh,andtheupperwaterfallis6meters,withatotalheightof74metersandawidthof81meters;Duetothestrongimpactofthecurrent,thesplashedwatermistcandiffuseformorethanhundredsofmeters,sothatthestockadeandmarketsonthetopofthecliffontheleftsideofthewaterfallareoftencoveredbythesplashedwatermist.Visitorscallit"silverrainsprinklesGoldenStreet".Whenthewaterissmallinwinterandspring,thewaterfallwillbedividedintothreeorfivestrandsandhungdownfromthetopofthebank.Fromadistance,thewhitecurtainofwaterwillfloatdownlikesilk,fairy'sfaceandlady'sraccoon.
Forhundredsofyears,themajesticappearanceofHuangguoshuwaterfallhasbeenmarveledbymanyscholars.IntheQingDynasty,Yanyinliang,afamouscalligrapherinGuizhouProvinceandtheinscriberoftheword"SummerPalace",wroteacoupletin"wangshuiting":"whitewaterislikecotton,itdoesn'tneedtobowandbouncetodisperse.ThemagnificentsceneryofHuangguoshuwaterfallisvividlysummarized.

Comparedwithotherfamouswaterfallsintheworld,Huangguoshuwaterfallisnotaswide,deepandmagnificentasVictoriawaterfallinAfrica,niagarawaterfallinNorthAmericaandanherwaterfallinVenezuela.However,Huangguoshuwaterfallhasitsownpeculiarities.Itisthemostpopularandspectacularwaterfallinkarstareasintheworld.Thiswaterfallislikeastrangemagnet.Ithasaseriesofmagnificentsceneriesontheground,underground,waterandwater.Oneofthemostmagicalplacesisthecliffcorridorcavehiddenhalfofthewaterfall.BecauseoftheclimbingofvinesoutsidethecaveandthePearlcurtainhangingonthewater,itiscalled"watercurtaincave".Thisisauniquesightthatnootherwaterfallintheworldhas.
Ladiesandgentlemen,"watercurtaincave"hasarrived.Thewatercurtaincaveis134meterslongandconsistsofsixwindows,threeGudongspringsandsixpassageways.ThisisthesceneofShuiliandonginthelarge-scaleTVseriesjourneytotheWestadaptedfromChinesemythology.Thisisthefirstcavewindow,whichisthelowest,only40metersawayfromthewatersurfaceofRhinocerosPool,butthecavewindowisthewidest,morethan10meterswide,locatedinthemiddleofthefirstandsecondwaterfalls.Whenthewaterisheavy,thetwowaterfallsconnecttoformacurtaintosealallthecavewindows;whenthewaterissmall,itopensagainandagain,rangingfromafewmeterstomorethan10meters.Minlikesacurtainthatcanbeopenedandclosedatwill.Thisisthesecondwindow.It'sonlyabout4metersawayfromthefirstwindow.Thisisaquietworld,knownascrystalpalace.Itistheheartofthewatercurtaincave,11meterslong,9metershighand3meterswide.Thereisaspringbesidetheroad,clearandclean,andthewaterleveliskeptatthesamelevelforalongtime.Therearemanystalactiteshangingonthetopofthecave,andtherearevaluablecurlystonesonthestrawstalactites.Therearecountlessstonecurtainsandstonecurtainshangingonthewallofthecave.Thisisthethirdholewindow.Itprotrudesoutwards,muchlikeabalcony.Thewindowis1meterhighand3meterslong.Thereisaguardrailoutside.Visitorscanreachforthewaterfallwhenstandingbehindtheguardrail,sopeoplecallit"touchthewaterfallplatform".
